Ernst & Young Slovakia has announced the results of the 19th annual EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 competition. The absolute winner of the global competition is Artur Gevorkyan, founder of GEVORKYAN, a.s.
The world-renowned innovator in powder metallurgy employs nearly two hundred people and thanks to references such as Ferrari, Versace, Siemens and Maserati, he has collected numerous awards, led by the Crystal Wing in the Economy category.
For which industry does GEVORKYAN, a.s. produce the most?
"Nowadays, everything related to aerospace or robots thrives in our company. It used to be a dream to use robots in powder metallurgy. We've turned that around and are supplying parts for robots and 3D printers. We also do a lot of manufacturing for sporting and civilian weapons, which are seeing a significant increase in interest. All over the world, people are interested in learning how to shoot." Says Chairman and CEO, Artur Gevorkyan.
Today, the company produces around 10 million parts per month for more than a hundred customers in thirty countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia, etc. Thanks to the development of sophisticated parts, company is successfully winning new contracts also for the aerospace industry and brings to customers large-scale and fast solutions.
"When I meet with partners from Germany or Italy and ask them if they believe it will be bad, they say yes now. Today, no one doubts that things will be complicated in Europe, " comments Artur Gevorkyan on plans for the coming year.
He has decided that his main plan will be to adapt to the situation and to meet opportunities head on. Therefore, he called 2025 the year of aikido.
"Our company is trying to take advantage of how the cards are dealt today. The basic task will be not to fight it, but to adapt to the situation, which I am sure will change rapidly. I would say we will have a year of aikido, " Artur Gevorkyan adds.
The company's annual sales are in the tens of millions of euros. The year before last it was over 76 million euros. The company has successfully entered the Prague Stock Exchange. At the end of last year, Artur Gevorkyan received the TREND Manager of the Year 2024 award.
